B&S is a family owned and operated business located in Fairhope, AL. Harry Babb established the company in the early ’70s in Fairhope, Alabama and we continue to thrive under the direction of Chris, Jo Ann and Harry Babb.

B&S Machine Shop started in a modest rented building equipped with a small inventory of machinery fueled by a desire and passion to be a major player in the manufacturing community. Starting small, we have grown current size by yielding to our customers’ needs and desires. We have built our reputation in the manufacturing community as a company that pays close attention to detail and who works closely with their clients.

The B & S Approach to Manufacturing

Our attention to detail separates us from our competition! We tackle each job with the right tools, equipment and software in place. The results of good planning and preparation are evident in the quality of the final product.

In 1998 we implemented an ERP Program that is specifically designed for our manufacturing environment. Every order fulfilled at B&S Machine Shop is tracked and managed through this software.

There are four steps to each job: quoting, order entry, manufacturing, and shipping. Each of these functions is supported with the extensive inventory of material, tooling, and continuous process improvement. (Job Management)

I have used B&S for machined and fabricated parts for over 25 years and have never received a bad product. I really don’t know how they can be so good! Their craftsmanship is the best I have ever seen. The parts look like art work.
